Although there are numerous malls in the greater Miami area, three are particularly noteworthy. Lincoln Road, right in South Beach, has recaptured its glory from the 1930s and 1940s when it truly was the southern U.S. equivalent to Fifth Avenue in New York. Today it is a pedestrian mall, taking advantage of the wonderful year-round South Beach climate, offering a unique set of shops.
Bal Harbour is an upscale experience unlikely any other. It is a two story covered outdoor mall where the rich and famous shop. The stores there are the most exclusive in the world, and the items they sell, and the service they provide, are second to none. Everyone should experience Bal Harbour at least once, and serious shoppers should experience its delightful ambiance often.
Aventura Mall, further north, is a huge two story enclosed mall, offering anything one could imagine in the way of a shopping experience.
